Cold Catalyst Filter for Air Purifier Remove VOC Aluminum Honeycomb
The cold catalyst material is a better design for photocatalyst cause it doesn`t need the UV light.
UV light will cause ozone that is harmful to human body, and UV light cost electric power increase the budget for running. Cold catalyst can destroy the VOC and other biological activity pollutions such bacteria, virus and so on.
Cold catalyst can stand longer, it`s no necessary to replace it as HEPA filters and pre filter in an air purifier service life.
Most of the cold catalysts are be painted on the surface of the aluminum honeycomb, or on the surface of sponge.
The principle of cold catalyst
The cold catalyst can decompose H2O to create many strong oxidizing groups slowly in normal environment, not like the photocatalyst, the cold catalyst no need UV light, so it`s a enhanced version. But the process is very slow and weak, not have a good function unless there are large area of cold catalyst.
The cold catalyst layer can combine with HEPA filters, carbon filters.
So the air purifier filters can be multiply function.
For examples:
- First stage: HEPA;
- Second stage: carbon;
- First stage: cold catalyst;
The cold catalyst is applied in air purifier when UV light is not exist. If the air purifier with UV light, photocatalyst is recommend.
